The aim of surveillance for COVID is to limit the spread of disease, enable public health authorities to manage the risk of COVID, and thereby enable economic and social activity to resume to the extent possible. Surveillance is also necessary to monitor the longer-term trends of COVID transmission and the changes in the virus.

For surveillance of COVID and its cause, SARS-CoV-2, in Arkansas, the Arkansas Department of Health has created this application.

The data collected here can be used to monitor COVID in Arkansas and will be used to track the progression and severity of COVID throughout the course of the pandemic.
